Recreational anglers in New Zealand have diverse preferences when choosing fishing spots. A study used a mixed logit model to understand these preferences better. The model considered both random preference differences and unobserved utility variations. It also accounted for skill levels of anglers. The results showed that this model outperformed other methods in predicting angler site choices.
