Indian Cement Industry Boosts Shareholder Wealth Through Modern Techniques
Understanding the value and performance of companies is crucial for financial managers. This study looked at 20 cement companies in India from 2005-2015 to see how well they created value for shareholders. They used Economic Value Added (EVA), Market Value Added (MVA), and Stock Market Returns (StMr) to measure performance. The researchers found that these modern techniques can help in creating shareholder wealth by evaluating economic profit and market value. By analyzing the data with statistical tools, they identified the most important metric for creating value among the variables.
