The article examines how exchange rates affect trade in Pakistan from 1995 to 2006. They found that there is a strong relationship between exports and imports, and the causality goes both ways. Contrary to previous beliefs, exchange rate volatility does not necessarily reduce trade volume in developing economies like Pakistan.
