Unemployment benefits in Ukraine have no impact on job re-employment.
The article looks at what factors affect how long people in Ukraine stay unemployed. They used data from a survey done in 2003. The results show that getting unemployment benefits doesn't really help people find work. But having income from other sources like casual work or farming makes it harder to get a job. The study also found that older people, those with less education, and people living in small towns or rural areas with high unemployment rates have a harder time finding work.
