Paper Summary

Agricultural preservation programs have been effective in slowing down farmland loss. These programs have decreased the rate of farmland loss by 2.4 percentage points on average, which is a 33% decrease from the usual rate. This was found by analyzing data from six Mid-Atlantic States over a 50-year period using a method called propensity score matching.
