Exchange rate shocks have minimal impact on consumer prices in Sweden
The study looked at how changes in exchange rates affect prices in Sweden. They found that when the exchange rate changes, it doesn't always lead to higher prices for consumers. In fact, the impact on prices is quite small. This is because other factors, like demand for goods, play a bigger role in determining exchange rate fluctuations. Even when there are changes in both domestic and global demand, the overall effect on consumer prices is close to zero.
