Regional integration involves more than just economic factors. This article suggests looking at integration projects from three angles: economic, political, and physical. It argues that political and physical integration are crucial steps before economic integration can happen. This challenges the idea that economic integration is the final goal. In simpler terms, before countries can fully integrate their economies, they need to first work together politically and physically.
