New Study Reveals Regional Economic Disparities in European Union
The paper looks at how different regions in the European Union are growing economically. Instead of just looking at average growth, the researchers studied the whole picture of regional development. They found that economic inequality among regions is influenced by geographic location. The study shows that the process of regions becoming more similar economically slowed down in the late 1970s, when big changes happened in the economy. These changes affected regions differently, but overall, they didn't make regional inequalities worse.
