Paper Summary

The EU's foreign policy towards Taiwan did not change much after expanding in 2004. Even though the EU talks differently about Asia and China, its actions remain the same. The EU stays out of conflicts in East Asia, including the Taiwan issue. The new EU members in East Asia don't have enough influence to change the EU's priorities.
