Medicare Reimbursement Fuels Cost Inefficiency in Rural Hospitals
The study looked at why some small hospitals spend money inefficiently. They found that certain types of funding and how long a hospital has been part of a special program can make them less efficient. But, the increase in inefficiency is not as big as other studies said.
