The study looked at how different types of auditor rotation affect the quality of audits in China. They found that firms with mandatory audit partner rotations are more likely to have issues with audit quality, especially in less developed regions. Voluntary audit firm rotation also showed some impact, but not as strong. Other forms of auditor rotation did not have an effect on audit quality.
