Revolutionizing Ginseng Growth: New Planting Techniques Boost Photosynthesis Efficiency
Panax ginseng plants were studied to see how different shading materials and planting positions affect their growth. The researchers found that plants under silver-coated shading plates received more light and had higher photosynthetic rates compared to those under polyethylene shade nets. However, the plants under silver-coated shading plates also experienced more stress from light and temperature, leading to lower Fo levels. Despite this, the plants under silver-coated shading plates had higher Fv/Fm and ETR values. Overall, the front planting positions received more light and had higher photosynthetic rates than the rear positions.
