Farmer cooperatives see $55.9 billion in business, but memberships decline
A survey in 1975-76 looked at farmer cooperatives in the US. They found that these cooperatives had a total business volume of 40.1 billion. The number of cooperatives and memberships went down during this time. California had the highest net value of business at 9.8%, followed by Iowa at 7.5% and Minnesota at 7.3%.
