Female mobility is increasing in developing countries due to modernization. A study looked at women in migrant households and found that many are self-employed or wage earners. Education is important for women's earnings, while experience matters more for men. Higher caste men earn less than lower caste men, but the same doesn't hold true for women. The study suggests that urban policies should be changed to improve women's status and job opportunities through education, training, and creating more jobs.
