The article examines how to identify and predict economic cycles in the Euro Area using different economic indicators. By analyzing monthly and quarterly data, composite indexes were created to track business cycle turning points. The study compared these indexes with existing methods and evaluated how well leading indicators can predict economic activity in the Euro Area.
