China's Rise Reshapes Global Trade Landscape, Demands Multilateral Overhaul
The World Trade Organization has been adapting to changes in the global economy, but the current Doha Agenda doesn't consider China's significant influence. To ensure China remains engaged in international trade, a new plan is suggested. This plan has two key parts: First, negotiating important issues for China and its partners to promote fair trade. Second, implementing rules to limit preferential trade deals that could disrupt the current fair trade system. By including China more meaningfully in trade discussions and preventing unfair trade practices, the global trading system can be strengthened for all involved.
