Immigrants in Ireland earn 18% less than natives, even after considering education and work experience. Immigrants with higher education also face a wage gap compared to similar natives. However, immigrants are only half as likely to receive welfare payments as natives. This difference remains even when accounting for immigrants' higher education levels.
