Mobile money boosts financial inclusion in Sub-Saharan Africa, study finds.
Mobile money, like using your phone for financial services, can help people without bank accounts. A study looked at 87 countries and found that in most places, using mobile money doesn't improve financial inclusion. But in Sub-Saharan Africa, where many people don't have bank accounts, mobile money can help. To help more people worldwide, policymakers should make mobile money easier to use and also connect it to traditional banking services.
