School feeding programs stick to children, boosting caloric intake significantly.
The study looked at how a school feeding program in the Philippines affected children's calorie intake. They found that the program led to children getting more calories without those calories being shared with other family members. This means that the food given to the children stayed with them and wasn't taken by others in the household. However, in poorer households, the children's extra calories were reduced more than in wealthier households.
