Unemployment among young people in the Middle East and North Africa is a big issue, but we don't fully understand why. By looking at data from Egypt, Jordan, and Tunisia, we found that many young people struggle to find and keep jobs. We saw that some people who were not working before end up unemployed, while others lose their jobs. The length of time people are unemployed also plays a role. This shows that certain characteristics of individuals can affect how likely they are to be unemployed and how long they stay without a job.
