Gender wage gap in Palestine favors women in public sector.
The article looks at why men and women in Palestine choose to work in different sectors and how their wages differ. They used data from surveys in 1999, 2001, 2007, and 2010. The results show that men and women in Palestine make different choices about where to work and how much education they need. Women tend to earn more than men in the public sector, but in the private sector, the results are mixed. Overall, people in the public and "other" sectors tend to earn more than those in the private sector.
