New models eliminate crop yield variability, boosting wheat production worldwide!
The study looked at different ways to fix uneven crop yield data in wheat farming. They tested three methods and found that including possible causes of unevenness in the data worked best. By adding these causes as factors, they were able to make the data more even. If the causes couldn't be identified, using a specific model called GARCH also helped. Just using a time trend model might not accurately show the true unevenness in the data.
