Boost Carp Production in Winter with Natural Feeds for Maximum Growth
A study was done to see how different types of carp grow in ponds during winter using natural food. They tested different stocking densities and found that the carp grew best when there were 32 per area. The Silver carp gained the most weight, followed by Mrigal, Catla, and Rohu. The Silver carp also grew the longest. The highest survival rate was in the ponds with 32 carp, and those ponds had the highest overall production. The best cost-to-benefit ratio was in the ponds with 32 carp. Overall, stocking 32 carp per area in ponds with natural food is the most effective way to grow carp in the winter.
