The EU has been working on developing capabilities for civilian crisis management, but recent research questions its success. The study looks at how the EU's efforts have affected Poland's security policy. It finds that European ideas have limited impact on Poland's crisis response capability due to weaknesses in the EU's approach and differences in national security identity. Europeanization has only led to minor adjustments in Poland's security policy, rather than significant changes.
