Different models were used to understand the decision-making process, including free street parking, paid street parking, and parking in a garage. By analyzing data, researchers developed models like Nested Logit and Mixed-Mixed Multinomial Logit to predict parking choices. The study also calculated the subjective value of time spent searching for a parking spot.
