After Russia changed its prices and exchange rates, consumer prices there became more similar to global market prices. The study measured how much prices changed and found that higher inflation led to more price variability. However, Russia still has a way to go to match global price levels. Prices across different parts of Russia have become more similar since 1992, but there are still big differences.
