Late delivery of subsidized fertilizer in Zambia reduces maize productivity by 4.2%, leading to a loss of 84,924 metric tons of maize output in one farming season. This results in a financial loss of USD 21.2 million for the government. Larger households with more assets are more likely to receive fertilizer on time.
