Developing Nations Poised to Gain Unprecedented Trade Access and Aid
The Doha Development Agenda aims to improve market access in goods and services, reduce uncertainty, and help least developed countries with trade issues. WTO members are willing to lower protection levels, especially for goods and services. However, actual benefits for least developed countries depend on including key tariff lines. Efforts are needed to turn potential gains into real benefits. Trade facilitation and aid for trade initiatives can help promote reform and mobilize assistance.
