Offshoring negatively impacts medium-skilled workers the most, study finds.
The study looked at how sending work overseas affects the types of skills needed for jobs in 40 countries from 1995 to 2009. They used a big database to see how different skills were affected by this. The results showed that offshoring hurt medium-skilled workers the most, followed by high-skilled workers. This means that medium-skilled workers have been hit harder than other types of workers in recent years.
