The article explores how people and countries respond to globalization and welfare policies. It looks at whether individuals in countries facing more globalization are more negative towards it, and if countries with better welfare protect their citizens from globalization's effects. Surprisingly, the study found that people in European countries aren't as concerned about globalization as expected. However, those benefiting from trade see it positively, especially in very open countries. Additionally, when countries support their citizens with welfare, people are more likely to view globalization positively.
