The study looked at how different levels of education affect productivity in different regions of Spain. They found that having more educated people in a region generally leads to higher productivity. However, they did not find any evidence that educated people moving to a region helps improve productivity there. In fact, in some cases, having more highly educated people in a region actually had a negative impact on productivity.
