The article examines the wage gap between temporary and permanent jobs in 12 European countries. Using a special statistical method, the researchers found that temporary workers earn less than permanent workers, especially low-skilled workers. The wage gap decreases as you look at higher earners. Even with the same qualifications, temporary workers would earn more if they had permanent jobs in almost all countries studied.
