CGE models are used to study how climate policies affect the economy. To reduce costs, we need better energy technologies. These technologies are mostly in machines we use for work. But current models can't show how different technologies are in different machines. By combining sectors and machines, we lose this detail. However, we can still show how new technologies affect investments directly.
