Optimal solutions found for efficient incentives in complex economies.
Incentive efficient allocations in economies with adverse selection and moral hazard can be found by solving a linear programming problem. The study uses duality theory to fully understand these optimal solutions. The research shows that welfare effects are linked to how well agents reveal their private information truthfully. Due to these effects, incentive efficient allocations may involve randomization.
