Older men working longer, claiming Social Security benefits less, study finds.
The study looked at older American men from 1980 to 2006 and found that more men worked without getting Social Security retirement benefits, while fewer claimed benefits without working. They discovered that raising the retirement age made fewer men work, increasing the delayed retirement credit made more men claim benefits, and working and claiming benefits were linked.
