Ethnic minority women face larger wage gap in Dutch job market.
The article looks at how different ethnic groups in the Netherlands earn different wages after graduating from college. They studied data from 1996 to 2005 and found that some of the wage differences can be explained by factors like gender and ethnicity. Migrant women tend to earn less than migrant men, and Western and Caribbean migrants earn more than Mediterranean migrants. Interestingly, Mediterranean women actually earn more than expected based on their characteristics, while Western women may earn slightly less.
