Finance Executives' Risky Decision-Making Biases Uncovered in Survey Study
Finance executives don't always make decisions based on logic, but often let biases influence their choices. A study of Australian finance executives found that factors like personal traits, perception of risk, and expectations of outcomes play a big role in their decision-making. Over half of the executives were willing to take risks, and their risk propensity was influenced by various factors like their assessment of alternative choices. The study showed that manipulating the facts of a decision only had a small impact on their willingness to take risks.
