Middle class joins working class in push for economic equality.
Attitudes towards economic inequality are influenced by how much money people have and how fair they think the current system is. In places where income is more equal, lower-income people are less likely to want more inequality. But in places with big income gaps, middle-class folks are just as likely as working-class folks to want less inequality. Most people think the current level of inequality is okay, but they still want things to change if it could help them financially.
