Interest rates and oil prices drive Bangladesh stock market to new heights.
The study looked at how different economic factors affect stock prices in Bangladesh. They used data from 1992 to 2011 and found that interest rates, crude oil prices, and money supply have a positive impact on stock prices, while exchange rates have a negative impact. Consumer price index didn't have much influence. Shocks to these economic factors only explain a small part of the changes in stock prices, but their effects last a long time.
