Trade Policies Boost Agricultural Prosperity in Developing Nations
The researchers looked at different trade policies and their effects on farm-related trade in Mozambique using a computer model. Mozambique gets a lot of foreign money and spends a bunch on big investments. They also have high prices for selling stuff and a service industry that gets traded a lot. The model showed that the usual idea that trade policies hurt farming might not be true in Mozambique because of these unique factors.
