New study finds methods effectively remove seasonal patterns from data!
The article tested two methods, Census X12-ARIMA and TRAMO/SEATS, to see if they can remove seasonal patterns from data while keeping other trends intact. They used different types of seasonal patterns in their simulation. The results showed that both methods were good at removing seasonal patterns, except for when the patterns changed periodically. Overall, both methods performed equally well in removing seasonal patterns from the data.
