Real wages and unemployment in Sweden were studied using a statistical model called a common trends model. The researchers looked at real output, employment, unemployment, real wage, tax wedge, and currency basket index from 1965 to 1990. They found evidence of a short-term relationship between real wages and unemployment, but not in the medium or long term.
