Price dispersion in Poland rapidly decreases post-reforms, benefiting consumers nationwide.
Prices in Poland changed a lot after market reforms in 1990. At first, prices were very different in different places, but they quickly became more similar. This happened especially for things that cost a lot, are bought often, and are important for households. Prices also got closer together in places where people look hard for the best price. Inflation didn't explain everything, but prices mostly changed like economic theory says they should.
