Auditors in Egypt believe that mandatory rotation of audit firms can improve audit quality and independence. They found that it has a positive impact on audit quality, a negative effect on client-specific knowledge, and a positive effect on auditors' independence. The study also looked at how industry specialization and fee dependence affect the relationship between mandatory rotation and audit quality.
