Using administrative registers alongside survey data doesn't significantly improve the accuracy of measuring changes over time in short term statistics, like the Norwegian Labour Force Survey. The survey data alone is enough to track changes accurately. This means that a large portion of the sample can be kept consistent from one survey to the next without affecting the accuracy of the overall estimates.
