The researchers conducted a field experiment to improve wheat production in Western Uttar Pradesh. They found that using 100% NPK fertilizer led to the highest grain and straw yields. Adding vermicompost and Azosprillium along with 75% NPK also increased yields and soil fertility. This integrated approach resulted in better productivity and monetary returns by maintaining or improving soil fertility after harvesting wheat crops.
