81.7% of Children in Southeast Iran Face Severe Food Insecurity Crisis
Malnutrition is a big problem in some countries, and not having enough food is a sign of this issue. A study in Iran looked at how many children aged 2-6 didn't have enough food at home and what factors were linked to this. They found that 81.7% of the children had food insecurity, with some having very little food. Children with food insecurity grew less than those with enough food. Factors like the mother's education level and access to a water closet affected food insecurity in children. It's important for policymakers to improve children's food security to help them stay healthy.
