Paper Summary

A study was done to see how adding nitrogen fertilizer at different times affects maize grain yield. They tested three maize varieties and six timings of nitrogen application in Nigeria. SAMMAZ 16 gave the highest grain yield and best results overall. Applying nitrogen fertilizer at 6 weeks after sowing was the most effective timing. This means that using SAMMAZ 16 and applying nitrogen at 6 weeks after sowing can help increase maize grain yield in that area.
