Istanbul's Drinking Water Reservoirs Face Alarming Eutrophication Threat, Risking Public Health
The study looked at how polluted the main drinking water reservoirs in Istanbul are. They used a model to see where the pollution was coming from and calculated how healthy the reservoirs are. The results show that the reservoirs are in danger of being too polluted or are already too polluted. To fix this, they suggest reducing pollution from different sources and taking steps to clean up the water in the reservoirs.
