Eastern China Leads in Agricultural Efficiency, Western Regions Lag Behind
The study analyzed agricultural production in China from 2007 to 2017 using a model called Stochastic Frontier Analysis. They found that China's agricultural technology efficiency has improved over time, but there is still room for growth. The eastern region of China is more efficient than the central and western regions. Factors like labor input, fertilizer use, and diesel fuel directly impact agricultural efficiency. Additionally, the passage of time and urbanization levels also play a role in influencing agricultural production technology efficiency.
